About an hour from Bordeaux is the not far off the cutest village in the world...St.Emilion is one of the most famous wine regions in the world and is darn picturesque to boot...!
Being a  UNSECO World Heritage site and very famous for it's wine means it is swarming with tourists but that adds to the fun in some ways and creates a real buzz in the place that would otherwise be a sleepy village in rural France.

The whole village is surrounded by vineyards which is quite a sight and really let's you know that this is a working village and not just a tourist attraction.

This shot is taken with the Samyang 14mm F/2.8 - it is very good and very cheap! I got it because it scored very highly in the DXO tests and was intrigued by it -  I've been very very impressed with it's qualities, it stays in the bag!

If ever you get a chance to check out St.Emilion do...for photography it's great and with Sterling so strong against the Euro even the inflated tourist prices don't hurt!
